A woman was transported to the hospital early Sunday morning for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries following an alleged assault in Royersford.
The victim, reportedly in her early 40s, told police that she was walking near the "Welcome to Royersford" sign near the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks on the south end of the borough in the early morning hours on Sunday when she was attacked by an unidentified individual.
Royersford police said Sunday that the victim had not yet provided a description of the suspect and that the matter remains under investigation.
