Pottstown-area man to be charged in Kiwi Yogurt holdup

The man was arrested Thursday and has already been charged with a Wednesday night armed robbery in Radnor, Delaware County.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman has told Patch that Adam Robert David will be charged in connection with last weekend's daylight holdup of the Kiwi Yogurt shop in the Providence Town Center.

An official announcement from the District Attorney's office is expected soon.

Authorities are investigating an 18-year-old South Coventry man in connection with , according to sources.

Adam Robert David was , Delaware County late Thursday afternoon at the Coventry Mall near Pottstown. He was charged with the Wednesday night armed robbery of a Domino's Pizza store in Radnor.

In that incident, the robber entered the store, walked behind the sales counter, and announced a robbery while pointing a black semi-automatic handgun at an employee, police said.

Police said the robber handed a plastic bag to a store employee and ordered him to place all the cash from the store's register and safe into the bag. The robber then fled the store.

"As a result of subsequent investigation the Radnor Police Department along with the Upper Providence Police Department in Montgomery County developed a suspect," later identified as David, Radnor Police superintendent William Colarulo said in a press release.

Detectives also recovered "a BB gun with a blue steel frame," which Radnor Police identified as the weapon used in the Domino's robbery.

Last Saturday, an unidentified white male in the Providence Town Center shopping complex shortly after the store opened. He reportedly produced "a large gun" from a bag and ordered everyone in the store to get on the floor.

Employees fled through the rear of the store, where the gunman confronted the store's manager and asked her to open the safe, which she was unable to do. The man then took an unknown amount of cash from the store's registers and fled in a blue Audi.

That suspect was described as tall, thin white man with a pale complexion who appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s. David is listed by Radnor Police at 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds.

David, whose last known address was listed by Radnor Police as the 3000 block of Coventryville Road, Pottstown, was charged with robbery at the point of a gun, simple assault, reckless endangerment, theft, receiving stolen property, and related charges. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
