Case Closed: More Details on Church and Main Accident

Responding officer Brian Tyler gives Patch an update on Monday night's accident.

Unfamiliarity with the area is allegedly the cause of a that occurred on Monday night. The dispatch came in shortly after 9:30 p.m. in which two vehicles collided on Main Street and Church Road in Limerick.

Responding Officer Brian Tyler originally did not know why the woman driving a white Ford Contour was driving over the double yellow lines initially, but upon follow up, he got the story.

"Not much changed," Tyler said. "She said she wasn't familiar with the roadway. I guess the bridge being out in Royersford, she had to come down Main Steet there. The road curved slightly to the right there and once she realized the road was curving, she tried turning. But, since the road was wet, she slid into the opposing lane."
