Vehicle Crash on Township Line Road Causes Traffic Delays [UPDATE]

The accident was caused by a dog running across the road.

An vehicle struck a tree on Township Line Road near its intersection with Old Mill Road in Limerick around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, causing traffic delays in the area.

The accident reportedly occurred after the female driver of a green Ford SUV slammed on her brakes to avoid a dog that was running across the road.

A sedan behind the Ford was unable to stop in time and swerved off the road to the right, striking a tree, according to police.

The Ford SUV sustained no damage; the sedan required towing.

Minor injuries have been reported, according to Limerick Police.

Township Line Road was blocked southbound, and all traffic was diverted to Rittenhouse Road near Pope John Paul II High School by Upper Providence Police.
