Police have identified the driver and passenger in on Swamp Pike near the Limerick Community Park.
Limerick Police Chief Wiliam Albany identified the driver as Arrison Renee Bunner, 21, of Birdsboro.
The passenger, identified as 26-year-old Brian Blackwell of Exeter (and formerly of Pottstown, PA), was flown to Hahnemann Hospital. Albany said he appeared to have "serious injuries" at the scene of the accident. He is currently in critical condition, and Albany said his family has been notified.
Bunner told police she lost control of her vehicle while trying to avoid an animal that ran across the roadway. Albany said she voluntarily submitted blood for testing.
Montgomery County Detectives are involved in the investigation of the crash and any further information on the investigation will be released by the Montgomery County District Attorney's office, Albany said.
