Fire Destroys Upper Frederick Garage

A Tuesday morning fire on Hauck Road was reportedly started when a resident was trying to melt tar.

A garage o Hauck Road in Upper Frederick was destroyed after it caught fire on Tuesday morning.

According to the Daily Local News, Fire Marshal Dennis Bolognese said the fire started when a resident on the 2900 block of Hauck Road was attempting to melt tar.

Siding on the house was melted due to the fire, and the garage was deemed not salvageable.

No injuries were reported, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety

Area fire companies were on the scene until roughly 1:30 p.m.
