Five Arrested Last Weekend at Outlets

A report from Limerick Police Chief Bill Albany

The following release was sent in by Chief Bill Albany:

Limerick Police responded to five reported thefts at the Philadelphia Premium Outlet Mall this past weekend and a total of five persons were taken into custody. Four of the persons arrested had prior arrests, and three have extensive criminal records. 

Jamiel Dowdy, age 33, Clarence Major, age 53 and Barry Graham age 47, all of Philadelphia, were arrested in their vehicle on Saturday after they acted in unison to steal a lap-top computer for the Sony Outlet Store. Police recovered the stolen lap-top from their vehicle. Dowdy, a registered sex offender, has prior arrests that include rape, robbery, kidnapping and firearms violations. Major has an extensive criminal history and is currently on parole for murder. Graham, who was wanted for probation violations, has prior arrests that include, robbery, burglary, theft, aggravated assault and weapons violations.

All three subjects were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Maruszuzak and transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail.

In an unrelated incident, police responded to the store on a report from store management that a female who was observed stealing a pair of jeans on Friday was back in the store acting suspicious. Police made contact with the subject, identified as Natasha Crump, age 20, of N. 60th Street in Philadelphia and located stolen merchandise on her person. Crump became combative at the scene and had to be physically restrained. She was later arraigned and transported to MCCF in lieu of $10,000 bail.

The other person arrested was a 14-year-old Upper Darby youth who was observed stealing shoes from the Neiman Marcus Last Call Outlet. The subject was cited and released.
