The Skippack teen accused of killing his girlfriend, Spring-Ford Area High School senior Julianne Siller, near the Skippack Trail in May has pleaded not guilty to the crime.
Tristan Stahley, 17, of Rittenhouse Lane, pleaded not guilty to first- and third- degree murder and possession of an instrument of crime charges on Friday.
Stahley, a former Perkiomen Valley High School student, faces life imprisonment in connection with the alleged murder, which police say occurred after the couple had an argument on May 25. Stahley allegedly stabbed Siller multiple times in the throat with an orange-handled EMT knife and drug her body into a wooded area.
After the alleged stabbing, police say that Stahley returned home and threatened to kill himself after confessing his crime to his mother; a struggle ensued while Stahley’s father tried to stop his son from killing himself, and the Pennsylvania State Police responded the domestic incident.
Stahley then confessed to the murder, police say, and took the troopers to Siller’s body.
According to the Main Line Media News, Stahley did not speak during the hearing in front of Judge William R. Carpenter; he was returned to jail immediately following, where he has been held without bail since Siller’s death.
