Juvenile Assaulted at 7-11 After School

Limerick, Royersford and Upper Providence police were on scene to investigate a possible stabbing on Tuesday afternoon.

On Tuesday afternoon at about 2:35 p.m., an assault was reported at 7-11 at S. Lewis Road and Spring Street, right next to . Callers indicated one female had a pocket knife and, along with a group of females, jumped a juvenile girl.

"This is the case of an assault between teenage girls and we're currently investigating who the wrongdoer is," said investigating Sergeant Brian Skelton.

Skelton, from , was on the scene along with officers from and Upper Providence. took the wounded girl to the hospital shortly before 3:00 p.m. for a "busted lip" and a "contusion underneath her eye."

Groups of teenagers stood on the sidewalk on Lewis Road to watch the investigation.
