Limerick K9 Team Trains At Spring-Ford HS

Limerick Township Police Officer Kevin McGuigan and his canine partner Flynn train locally

hosted the Philadelphia Police Department's current K9 training class on Thursday night. Training officers placed explosives in several areas of one hallway, giving the dogs something to sniff out. Police advised that the explosive medium used for training consisted of trace amounts of material and it posed no danger to the handlers, dogs or school building.

At Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting, police chief William Albany said the Limerick Township Police Department and the Philadelphia Police Department are "grateful to the Spring Ford School District for allowing them to use the high school as a training location."
