A briefing of police activity in Limerick Township: Yamaha bike stolen, man beats up little brother, NJ duo allegedly steals $992.26 of merchandise from Outlets

The logged 209 incidents between May 14 and 20. Of them, 22 were deemed false alarms. The department submitted the following incidents of note:

Yamaha Bike Stolen from Backyard

On May 17 at 3:04 p.m., Officer Kevin McGuigan was dispatched to 284 W. Ridge Pike for a report of a stolen 2002 Yamaha dirt bike. The bike's value was estimated at $2,000.

The reporting party said his brother's bike was taken from the backyard and it was last seen the previous night around 7 p.m. The caller stated he followed a trail from his yard to the medical building near the house, but couldn't see the tracks any further than that. The bike is blue and white and has been entered as stolen.

Man Assaults Little Brother

On May 17 at 3:20 p.m., Officer Kevin McGuigan responded to a domestic dispute at 22 Sacco Road. McGuigan arrived and saw a juvenile boy crying and holding a towel to his mouth.

The boy told McGuigan that his brother beat him up. According to the report, there were noticeable lacerations on the boy's chin and inside of his mouth, as well as several lumps on his head that were starting to bruise and a large bruise on the side of his face.

A woman reported to police that she observed the assault from the front porch of her house next door. She tried to stop the assault and screamed at the assailant to stop until another neighbor came and physically pulled him off of the juvenile boy.

The assailant was identified as Dominic Christopher Olock, 18 of Parkerford.

Another woman heard the cries from help from inside of her home. She watched as the boy was assaulted on the front porch of the home and called 9-1-1. Another witness said he heard yelling and punching and that Olock was yelling at the boy about owing him $500.

The mother of the two boys arrived home from work during the investigation and said the two were fighting the night before. She also confirmed that Olock does not live at the residence and she told him not to come back that day.

The victim reported he was in his room when Olock came into the house and assaulted him, continuously saying, "Is this what you want?"

The boy then crawled into his mother's bedroom, but still could not escape the assault. Olock said the boy owed him $500 and allegedly said, "I'm going to kill you."

The victim said he then went to the living room and ran out the front door screaming for help and police arrived soon after.

Olock was arrested for aggravated assault and transported to Pottstown Police Department and was arraigned the next day by Magisterial District Judge Edward C. Kropp Jr. Bail was set at $10,000 unsecured. The preliminary hearing is today at 10 a.m.

NJ Teens Allegedly Steal Almost $1,000 of Merchandise from Outlets

On May 18 at 2:07 p.m., Limerick Detective Matthew Daywalt was patroling the when he was notified of a retail theft at . The store manager said two men were carrying bags and removed merchandise from the store without paying.

The two boys were apprehended at the store and their bags were found in the bushes outside. The bags had the alleged stolen merchandise from Diesel, as well as other items. Both men were positively identified as the thieves by the store manager of Diesel and were taken into custody by police.

The boys were transported to Pottstown Police Department. One of them was identified as Kelvin German, 18 of Paterson, N.J., while the other was a 17-year-old juvenile form Paterson, as well. Both men had no listed prior arrests for retail theft. German was housed pending his arraignment and the juvenile was picked up by his parents.

The total value of the items was $992.26. Stolen items were found from , Diesel, , and .
