Man Allegedly Stabs Girlfriend in Linfield

On May 26 at 1:26 a.m., Officer Tim DiGregorio was dispatched to 21 Trinley Mill Rd. for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, DiGregorio reported seeing a female victim with a ripped black dress and blood on her chest and left wrist.

The woman told officers she argued with her boyfriend when she came home around 12:30 a.m. She left the house earlier in the night with $1,500. She returned home with $1,400. Her boyfriend, James Howard Weidner, 34 of 21 Trinley Mill Rd., asked her where the $100 went. The victim told him she bought the dress she was wearing and alcohol.

According to the victim, Weidner pushed her several times, tore her new dress and sprayed her with beer. The argument continued in the kitchen, where Weidner allegedly threw an object at the victim, narrowly missing her and breaking a wine glass.

As the woman was cleaning up the broken glass on the floor, she said Weidner took a Farberware knife from a drawer and began "flailing" it toward her. The victim said she was scared and put her arms up to protect herself, which is when her left wrist was lacerated.

Trappe Ambulance arrived on scene to assist the victim, who was eventually taken to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Weidner told a different story. He claimed the woman was trying to slit her wrist with the broken wine glass and he took a knife out, jammed it into a table and told her if she was going to do it, to do it the right way.

Police investigated the scene, reporting to not have found any blood on the broken glass. The knife had about an inch of dried blood from the tip of the blade up.

Weidner was sent to the hospital for a shallow laceration to his own hand. He was arraigned at 2:17 p.m. the same day on $10,000 cash bail. His preliminary hearing is on June 15 at 9 a.m. He is housed at Montgomery County Correctional Facility and is pending charges for aggravated assault.

Drunk Guy Wants to Go to Anytime Fitness

On May 23 at 5:10 a.m., Corporal Fitz Duffy was sitting in the parking lot between Lazer Limo and doing reports when he saw a man standing in the lot with no shirt on.

The man could barely stand up straight, falling several times, according to Duffy. Upon approaching the man, Duffy reported he immediately smelled alcohol. The suspect, Jack Tyler Ferguson, 18 of Limerick, said he was waiting for a ride from a friend to go to . He tried calling his friend, but there was no answer.

Duffy asked Ferguson where he came from. Ferguson replied that he came from Anytime Fitness. Duffy then replied, "I thought that was where you were going?" Ferguson's only reply was "yes."

"You were just there?" Duffy said. Ferguson again replied "yes."

Ferguson was taken into custody for a PBT, but did not correctly blow into the device. He was housed at Pottstown Police Department and released the next day with a citation for public drunkenness and consumption of alcoholic beverage by a minor.
