Limerick police: NJ woman arrested at outlets

The suspect has eight prior retail theft convictions.

A Camden woman was arrested at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets on Saturday after allegedly attempting to steal four pairs of women's shoes from the Neiman Marcus store, Limerick Township police said in a statement this afternoon.

Cheryl Hargrove, 40, of Camden NJ, was charged with retail theft.  Police said Hargrove entered the store with an empty brown paper shopping bag, used wire cutters to remove security sensors from the shoes, valued at $689. She then allegedly placed the shoes in the shopping bag and left the store.

According to police, Hargrove has used several aliases and has previously been convicted for retail theft eight times.  Her prior arrest record includes charges of aggravated assault, robbery, vehicle theft, and manufacture or distribution of a controlled substance, police said.
