Limerick, Royersford Police Warn of Thefts from Vehicles

Both departments reported thefts from unlocked cars this week.

The Limerick Township and Royersford Borough Police Departments alerted residents to thefts from unlocked vehicles in the area this week, reminding residents to lock their doors overnight.

On Monday night, a laptop and GPS were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 400 block of Foxcroft Drive, according to Limerick Police.

On Thursday, Limerick police announced three additional thefts near Linfield Farms and Montgomery Brooke. GPS units, designer sunglasses and change were taken, according to police.

“This type of incident occurs in every neighborhood in the township, and the actors are usually found to live nearby,” said a Facebook post from the Limerick Police, urging residents to lock their car doors.

Royersford Police reported that thefts from vehicles are occurring during nighttime hours in the Spruce Lake Apartment area.

“Residents are urged to keep their vehicles locked at all times,” said Royersford Police.  “Also, do not leave anything of value in plain sight.”
