Limerick Twp Postpones Halloween Activities

A township press release advises residents to hold off until Friday.

According to a press release from Limerick Township, residents are advised that Halloween events - including trick-or-treating - should be rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 2.

The release says the change is due to "[n]ot knowing when the full effects of the Hurricane will be over, and in an effort to protect the safety of our residents and preserve the resources of all local emergency management organizations."

The township also says in the release that "Limerick Township and all local emergency response agencies including the Police, Fire, Public Works, and emergency medical organizations are fully mobilized and prepared to handle the approaching Hurricane Sandy weather emergency."
