Limerick Woman Faces Drug Charges After Traffic Stop, Police Say

Police reported finding drugs and needles in the woman's car.

A Limerick resident is facing charges after an April 10 traffic stop in Collegeville where, police say, she was found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. 

Deborah Jean Rich, 54, was pulled over by a state trooper near Main Street and 8th Avenue in Collegeville Borough, according to a report released by the Pennsylvania State Police. 

Police say Rich was uncooperative during the traffic stop and refused to obey numerous directives given to her by the trooper.

Police say Rich was driving on a suspended license. According to the report, a search of the vehicle turned up prescription medications, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia.

Rich was charged with misdemeanor counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, and was cited for driving on a suspended license.

Rich was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Albert Augustine and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility because she was unable to post bail.
