Local Police Step Up DUI Patrols for Holiday Weekend

Area police forces have joined together to form a group called "Team DUI," in an effort to combat intoxication-related accidents over the Independence Day holiday.

Police officers from Lower Pottsgrove, Royersford, Upper Pottsgrove, West Pottsgrove, Lower Pottsgrove, Douglass, North Coventry, East Coventry and Upper Providence townships will work together this weekend to patrol area roadways in an effort to reduce the number of alcohol-related accidents.

The Sanatoga Post reported that "Team DUI" will set up sobriety check points at a number of unspecified locations in western Montgomery County beginning June 29 and continuing beyond the Fourth of July holiday.

This is bad news, I can't afford a DUI! Where can I drive drunk.

LOL golden cockroach. Stay home in the air conditioning and drink. It's much cheaper and safer!
