Multiple Injuries Reported in Ridge Pike Crash

The crash was one of two within ten minutes in Limerick Township Tuesday night.

Several injuries were reported during a crash at on Ridge Pike and Neiffer Road in Limerick on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m., just ten minutes a rollover crash on Fruitville and Smith roads.

A family of four, including two children, was traveling eastbound on Ridge Pike in an Honda SUV when the vehicle was broadsided by a white van that then flipped over, according to KWY.

The father of the family, also the driver, was extricated from the vehicle; all four occupants, including a mother and two children, were transported to area hospitals.

The passenger of the van was transported via a helicopter to a Philadelphia trauma center. The driver of the van was sent to an area hospital.

The driver and the passenger of the van, both men, did not speak English and were unable to communicate with police, according to the Pottstown Mercury.

Just ten minutes prior to the Ridge Pike accident, emergency crews also responded to a crash at Fruitville and Smith roads in Limerick Township, where a vehicle rolled over. Minor injures were reported in the crash.
