One-foot hole found in Royersford-Spring City Bridge [UPDATED]
Lane closures will remain in effect through this evening's rush hour while repairs are underway
Update: PennDOT announced via Twitter that all bridge lanes were open as of about 5:30pm.
Crews found a hole in the Royersford-Spring City (Main Street) bridge today, as part of PennDOT's ongoing bridge rehabilitation project, the agency said this afternoon.
The hole is about a foot wide, and is in the southbound lane in the center of the bridge, heading from Royersford to Spring City.

PennDOT said its daytime lane restrictions, which normally would have ended at 3 p.m., will continue until crews install a steel plate to make temporary repairs.
One lane will likely remain closed through rush hour, with flaggers directing traffic across the bridge.
