Overnight Accident Damages Pump Station Fence

Accident occurred at Walnel Drive and King Road

An overnight accident has heavily damaged the King Road sewer treatment station's fence. 

Limerick Police Chief William Albany told Patch that a 23-year-old female driver "ran off the roadway, crashed through the back fence, and [the car] overturned as it went down a wooded embankment."

The accident took place at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The driver climbed out of the car before police arrived. She was the sole occupant of the car.

Albany said the driver did show signs of impairment at the scene and was transported to Paoli Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Albany said the driver's identity is being withheld pending chemical testing results.
