The following reports were submitted by the Pennsylvania State Police Skippack Barracks:

"Erratically" Traveling Vehicle Stopped for Alleged DUI

On April 28 at 4:01 a.m., Trooper Stephen Dunkle reported he and Corporal David M. Pezzano observed a white Jeep Grand Cherokee "traveling erratically" on 422 West at about mile marker 176.8 in Limerick Township.

"During the traffic stop, I observed the above driving exhibiting signs of impairment," the report said. "The above driver was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and drug possession in Magisterial District Court 38-1-19."

Crash on 422 Possibly Caused by Alleged Alcohol or Drug Impairment

On April 27 at 10:45 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police Corporal David M. Pezzano reported a one-vehicle accident on 422 West in the area approaching the Royersford exit in Upper Providence Township.

"The vehicle lost control and struck the guide rail causing damage to the drivers side door and rear bed and drivers side front tire which came off the rim," the report said. "The vehicle then fled the scene and traveled west on SR422 while driving on the rim. The vehicle was then observed traveling on Main Street in Spring City by officers from the , who in turn stopped the vehicle and contacted the State Police."

When troopers arrived, the operator allegedly exhibited signs of alcohol and drug impairment and, according to the report, failed a field sobriety test. The 21-year-old male of Phoenixville was transported to Phoenixville Hospital for legal blood to be drawn to determine the presence of controlled substances and BAC.

Charges are pending laboratory analysis.
