Royersford and Limerick police investigate several incidents.

Royersford Police Blotter

Royersford Police sent out a press release reporting 80 incidents in the borough from August 20 to 27. 

Two burglaries were noted by police in the press release, both on August 24.

Officer John O'Keefe responded to a call around noon on August 24 to a vacant property on 2nd Avenue. The caller reported to police that the last time he was there, everything was intact, but when he arrived on the 24th he noticed the basement door had been forced open.

O'Keefe reported that a property search revealed that copper water lines and copper tubing comprising 70 percent of the baseboard heating elements had been removed from the property.

A second call the same day sent O'Keefe to a home in the 800 block of Walnut Street. The caller reported that her basement door was open and a window was broken. 

The home was investigated but the caller was not sure if anything was stolen. 

Both incidents remain under investigation. 

Police urge residents to lock all their doors and windows when they are not home. Residents can report suspicious activity by calling 911 or 610-948-3333 for non-emergencies.

Limerick Police Blotter

Limerick Township police responded to 164 incidents from August 20 to August 26. 

A domestic incident resulted in the arrest of Robert Carlson, 43, of Limerick. The victim called police on August 23 requesting information on a Protection from Abuse order. 

Officer Timothy DiGregorio responded to the call. The victim told police that Carlson had allegedly assaulted her three days prior and she was frightened that he might assault her again because he was going to be bailed out of Chester County prison on August 24. Carlson was incarcerated in Chester County Prison on theft charges.

DiGregorio arranged for Carlson to be arraigned on assault charges prior to his being bailed out. Carlson was arraigned, bail was set at $10,000 and he was transported to Montgomery County Correctional Facility. 

DiGregorio observed injuries to the victim's arms and shoulders. DiGregorio notified Chester County authorities to arraign Carlson before
