Limerick

The Limerick Township Police Department logged 176 incidents between Oct. 11 and 16. Of the incidents, 16 were deemed false alarms.

Among the calls to which the police responded were the following incidents of note.

Wheels and Tires Stolen at Various Dealerships

The department received calls about stolen wheels and tires from the following dealerships, between Oct. 5 and 13:

Police are asking anyone who may have information regarding this case to contact them.

Pricey Jeans Stolen from Neiman Marcus Again

On Oct. 15 at 3:21 p.m., Officer Christopher Wienczek was dispatched to Neiman Marcus Last Call for a retail theft. Upon arriving, the two offenders, Douglass V. Skipworth, 28 of Philadelphia and Shannon A. Mitchell, 22 of Philadelphia, were already in custody of loss prevention.

Loss prevention officials told police that Mitchell was observed selecting five jeans, going to the fitting room and walking out with only two. She met up with Skipworth in the men's shoes department, where he was witnessed placing a pair of shoes from the shelf into a bag that Mitchell brought into the store. He also took the two pairs of jeans from Mitchell and placed them into another bag. The two walked out of the store with $457 of merchandise without paying.

They were housed at Pottstown Police Department and are pending charges for retail theft.

Royersford

The following report was sent to Patch from Royersford Police Chief Kevin Schurr.

French Quarter Bistro Burglarized Saturday

At 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, the property owner of 215 Main St. contacted police regarding a burglary he discovered at the restaurant.

Entry was gained through the rear side of the building by smashing out the glass pane in the door. Surveillance tapes revealed at approximately 4:30 a.m., a heavy-set male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans used a large propane tank to smash out the glass door and gain entry.

Once inside, the actor rummaged through the ovens, cabinets, desks and office areas with an apparent attempt to locate cash. No cash was taken, and it is undetermined at this time whether there is any missing alcohol or other property. The male attempted to use his hooded sweatshirt to conceal his identity and surveillance tapes revealed the subject departed from the building around 5:20 a.m. He was last seen heading in a westerly direction toward Main Street.

Police are attempting to enhance the images caught on the recordings for identity purposes of the individual. Anyone with information is asked to contact the .

The following report came to Patch from the Pennsylvania State Police Skippack.

Royersford Man Fails to Yield, Injures Limerick Man

On Oct. 14 at 6:23 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police responded to a vehicle accident on 422 East on the on ramp at Township Line Road.

The report states Thomas Morrissey, 43 of Limerick had just made a left turn from Township Line Road to go east onto 422. Shawn Ward, 48 of Royersford was coming onto the ramp and, by law, had to yield to oncoming traffic.

According to the report, Ward did not yield and struck the right side of Morrissey's GMC Terrain as they were both merging onto 422. Morrissey sustained a minor injury and was transported to Pottstown Hospital by Trappe EMS for treatment. Both men were wearing seatbelts and both vehicles sustained minor damage.

The report indicates a citation for failing to yield was filed on Ward.
