A look at last week's police activity in Limerick Township and Royersford

Limerick

logged 206 incidents between Aug. 8-14. Of the incidents, 22 were deemed false alarms.

Multiple Commercial Break-Ins Lead to Arrest

Shannon Jamal Edwards, 31, of Philadelphia was arrested by the Pennsylvania State Police for more than 60 commercial burglaries - four occurring in Limerick Township.

Reported break-ins included on Kugler Road, where nothing was stolen; on W. Ridge Pike, where $581.35 was stolen; on W. Ridge Pike, where $300 was stolen; and on W. Ridge Pike, where nothing was stolen.

In all instances, the back door was pried open and damage was done inside of the stores. The man was using a 2004 Chevrolet Impala belonging to Damion Edward Carter of Royersford.

Steve Madden Store Manager Assists in Arrests

Steve Madden store manager Stephanie Beaner called police and was successful in getting two individuals arrested for retail theft from the Philadelphia Premium Outlet store, along with J Crew and Nine West at the outlets on Aug. 11 around 1:53 p.m.

Sheria Patricia Green, 25, of Philadelphia and Tionna Lezette Moment, 34, of Lansdowne were arrested for retail theft from the stores. One distracted Beaner while the other removed two pairs of shoes from the boxes and the women left without paying. After police were notified, their vehicle was stopped and Beaner positively identified the two as the thieves.

Other items found included jewelry from Nine West and J Crew. The grand total of stolen items was $503.77. Both were housed at Pottstown Police Department and the next hearing is on Aug. 22.

Royersford

Royersford Police Department sent in a DUI arrest note dated Aug. 12 at 6:15 p.m. Lynne Brown Ousey, 43, was publically intoxicated earlier in the day, between 2:45 and 3:30 p.m. at the 200 block of Washington Street. Police told her to remain inside her residence to avoid charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Police later pulled over her black Volkswagen Jetta and Ousey failed to cooperate with police. She was eventually subdued and arrested, according to the report, for DUI, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
