A look at last week's police activity in Limerick Township and Royersford

Limerick

logged 221 incidents between Aug. 15-22. Of the incidents, 19 were deemed false alarms.

Among the calls to which the police responded were the following incidents of note.

Local Pools Vandalized

The Limerick Township Police Department was contacted in reference to a few local pools being vandalized. The actors are still unknown at this point in time.

The actors were found to have thrown chairs, tables, heavy concrete into the residents' pools after hopping fences. Some lawn ornaments and statues were also taken and thrown into pools.

The houses affected were on Grandview Drive and Woodley Drive in Country Meadows development, as well as Pine Tree Drive. Police are asking for any and all available information.

Solstice Loses a Few This Time

The Solstice Sunglass store at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets was robbed once again last week. The following incidents were reported. Again, any and all information connected with these cases can be directed to the Limerick Township Police Department.

  • Aug. 17, 2:24 p.m. - Responding Officer Shawn Pancoast reported an employee saw a black male wearing a black hat, gray suit jacket, black t-shirt and jeans had stolen two pair of sunglasses, including Marc Jacobs valued at $325 and Gucci valued at $265, by placing both pair inside of his jacket. He selected a third pair and attempted to purchase them, but after the employee asked for identification on the credit card he was using, he took the card back and left the store.
  • Aug. 17, 4:37 p.m. - Responding Officer Edward Ciaciak reported the same employee from the previous incident saw a white male with dirty blonde hair wearing a grey t-shirt with red lettering and black shorts with white stripes concealed and removed a pair of Ray Ban Aviators valued at $139 without paying.

Woman Caught Stealing at Kohl's

Marlena Magazzeni, 20, of Monte Clare was caught stealing $106.28 worth of apparel from the on Township Line Road. She was seen putting clothes into her brown purse and left the store without paying. The complainant stopped her in the parking lot and she was arrested and taken to the Pottstown Police Department. The articles of clothing stolen were two tank tops and four jewelry pieces. She had no prior arrests and was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft.

Public Drunkenness Linked to Vehicle Accident

Justin Gambino, 27, of Limerick was found at 4:52 a.m. on Sunday on the side of the road by Officer Timothy DiGregorio on W. Cherry Road and Limerick Center Road. When he was found, he was urinating on a tree and stumbling.

Upon further investigation, Gambino was seen with glassy eyes, slurred speech, the smell of alcohol on his person and was talking very loudly. It was then found that he was operating a vehicle while drunk, which caused him to get into an accident at 2:39 a.m.

Gambino was arrested for public drunkenness after blowing a .161-percent. The investigation was turned over to Officer Keith Heffernan at Royersford Police Department.

Royersford

Royersford Police Department sent in three reports of note between Aug. 18-23.

Broken Vending Machine at Laundramat

A coin vending machine was found broken inside of Lewis' Laundramat on Lewis Road and Royersford Road. The damage is estimated to have been done between Aug. 18-22 and approximately $50 of coins was taken.

Anyone in or around the laundramat during that time that may have observed anyone suspicious is asked to call the police.

Homeless Man Issued Public Drunkenness

Marvin "Mickey" Cunningham, 47, was found on Aug. 22 at 10:25 p.m. passed out on a bench near the baseball fields at . When he was awakened, he could not stand or walk without assistance. There was an empty bottle of vodka with him. He was held overnight at the station and released the following day after being issued a public drunkenness citation.

PSP Assists in Domestic Case

William Pino, 25, of Collegeville was involved in a domestic altercation on Aug. 23 around 10:20 p.m. with his girlfriend at in Royersford. Police responded, but Pino had fled. Pennsylvania State Police assisted in his later arrest.

He was charged with harrassment, disorderly conduct and terroristic threats.
