Limerick

The Limerick Township Police Department logged 155 incidents between Nov. 21 and 27. Of them, 13 were deemed false alarms.

Man Stuffs $457-Worth of Merchandise in Backpack at Outlets 

On Nov. 25 at 2:08 a.m., Responding Officer Christopher Iochum was dispatched to at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, where a retail theft was in progress.

Neiman Marcus loss prevention witnessed Robert Kion Stokes, 21 of Philadelphia, select to sweaters from the shelf and placing them in his backpack. He then left the store without paying for either sweater. One sweater was valued at $172, the other at $245.

The loss prevention officer followed Stokes to the and watched him do the same thing with a pink button-down shirt, valued at $23.99 and a $16 pair of khaki pants.

When Stokes left the store, he was approached by officers Kevin McGuigan and Tim DiGregorio. When they met him, he dropped the backpack and ran off, but was taken to the ground by the officers immediately. He was handcuffed.

He also had stolen items from the store in his backpack, which did not have estimated values per the report. He was transported to Pottstown Police Department where he was housed for arraignment. He had no priors for retail theft and has a preliminary hearing on Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. with $5,000 unsecured bail.

Man Admits to Smoking Marijuana to Police

On Nov. 21 at 12:51 a.m., Officer Brian Tyler was on patrol in the area of Royersford Road and Longmeadow Road when he observed 20-year-old David Lukens of Linfield walking down the street with a large item in his hands.

Tyler reported that due to recent calls for attempted theft from vehicles in the same area, he stopped Lukens, who said a ride from his friend’s house fell through, so he was walking to home. Tyler observed the object Lukens was carrying as a five to six-inch rock.

The officer searched Lukens’ backpack, to which Lukens responded that he forgot he had a bong in there, as well as a water bottle filled with whiskey. Tyler found both items in the backpack.

Lukens admitted that he and a friend had smoked marijuana from the pipe earlier in the day. Tyler reported he also found Lukens' MacBook in the backpack.

The man was issued two non-traffic citations for Liquor Law Underage (18 years or older) and Purchasing, etc. of alcoholic beverages by a minor.

Girl Incapacitated in her Vehicle After a Night of Drinking

On Nov. 27 at 2:17 a.m., Responding Officer Christopher Nestler was patrolling at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets. It was reported that a woman was sleeping in her vehicle. Officers attempted waking her up, but she immediately passed out again.

When the girl was finally awakened, officers noticed she smelled of alcohol. A public drunkenness was issued to Allison K. Hubsher, 24 of Pottstown. Her car was left at the Outlets overnight while she sobered up. She denied striking anything with her vehicle despite having front-end damage. The citation was mailed to her.

Girl Can’t Get Home While Drunk in Linfield

On Nov. 24 at 1:27 a.m., Responding Officer Brian Tyler was patrolling the Linfield area when he observed a girl standing on the northbound shoulder on Main Street. She had her thumb out to hitch a ride.

As Tyler approached closer, the girl walked out into the middle of the road. He noticed she was having trouble standing. He made contact with her and noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from her person, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

She told Tyler she was at the . While she was talking to him, she fell into his vehicle, so he asked her to sit on the curb so she would not endanger herself.

The girl, identified as Rachel Koch, 22 of Perkasie, continued by saying she was trying to get to her boyfriend’s house in Perkasie. Tyler asked if she had family in the area to stay with that night, to which Koch responded that her boyfriend lives close by.

Tyler replied that Perkasie is not close, but she insisted he lived right down the street. Tyler requested she call her boyfriend, but she said she didn’t have a phone, so Tyler decided to take her to his house.

He asked Koch if she had anything on her that might be used to hurt him while he had her in his custody, to which she stared blankly at him and then said, “I have my keys?”

Tyler said that was not what he meant, and that he meant a sharp object, like a knife or a needle. Koch stared at him blankly again and repeated, “I have my keys?”

Tyler took Koch to her boyfriend’s house and was issued at citation for public drunkenness.

Drunk Man Becomes Angry at Grocery Store

On Nov. 22 at 4:34 p.m., Responding Officer Tim DiGregorio was dispatched to . The manager of the store reported that a man, James Andrew Minton, 47 of Spring City, was yelling and cursing in the store.

Allegedly, Minton asked the deli to cut his turkey in half, to which they said no. He immediately became angry and started cursing several times at the deli staff. It was reported that there were about 15 witnesses to this, some families and children being present.

Minton told Corporal Fitz Duffy when approached outside that he did nothing wrong and that the manager was the one cursing and yelling at him. Duffy noted that Minton had slurred speech, glassy eyes, an unsteady gait and the odor of alcohol coming from his person.

His BAC registered at .190, so he was arrested and cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Royersford

Man Assaults Woman in Royersford Road Rage

On Nov. 29 at 12:22 p.m., Responding Officer Mark Smythe was dispatched to a disturbance at the intersection of Lewis Road and Walnut Street across from .

Upon arrival, he spoke with Lauren Drago, who explained that she was stopped at the red light facing westbound on Walnut Street just before Lewis Road. She stated that there were three vehicles at the intersection, but the vehicle directly in front of her did not move when the light turned green, so she beeped her horn. 

The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Luigi Sanchetti, 21 of Phoenixville, got out of his car and walked back to Drago, who was still seated in the car. She said that Sanchetti started yelling obscenities at her. While she attempted to drive away, Sanchetti punched the driver’s side door and continued to yell at her with vulgar language.

He then told her that he would hunt her down and kill her. Drago reported Sanchetti punched her in the chest and face through the window as she sat in her vehicle.

Smythe said he spoke with three witnesses who confirmed the truth to Drago’s complaint. There was also a video that one witness had captured on her cell phone, which also confirmed the incident.

At 5:01 p.m., Sanchetti was arraigned. He was held on $5,000 straight cash bail and remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility. His preliminary hearing is on Dec. 6 at 9:45 a.m. His father came to the station to retrieve his personal items.

Sanchetti’s charges include Attempt at Simple Assault, Harassment (strike, shove, kick, etc.), Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Terroristic Threats with the Intent to Terrorize Another, Criminal Mischief – Damage to Property (summary case), and Disorderly Conduct – Engaging in Fighting (summary).
