Drunk Man Knocks on Doors to Find a Ride

On March 23 at 2:29 a.m., responding Officer Christopher Nestler was dispatched to 68 Reifsnyder Rd. for a burglary in progress. The caller stated a male was trying ot get in the front door of the residence.

Upon arrival, Nestler found Richard Lintott, 41 of Pottstown, laying on the eastbound shoulder of Reifsnyder Road by the utility pole. Nestler made contact with Lintott, who said he was playing poker with some friends at a house on Royersford Road and was trying to get home. He said he had no idea where he was.

Police asked Lintott about the "attempted burglary" and he said he knew nothing about it, but a man yelled at him as he was walking to "get the [explitive] out of here or I'll shoot you."

After further conversation, Nestler said Lintott told him he was knocking on the door to see if he could get a ride home. Royersford Corporal Thomas Nerlinger said the department had two warrants for Lintott. He was issued a summary citation from Limerick for a public drunkenness.

Man Reports Stolen Gun from his Car

On March 21 at 1:20 p.m., Corporal Fitz Duffy met with a man who said his $500 340 SC Smith & Wesson revolver was stolen from his vehicle's glove box. No further action was taken.

Scrap Metal Stolen

On March 22 at 2:20 p.m., responding Officer Timothy DiGregorio was dispatched to 192 Limerick Center Rd. for a theft. A 44-year-old victim of 197 Limerick Center Rd. reported he had three milk crates of scrap aluminum car master, two plastic totes with mixed car and house metal and 10 car batteries stolen from the property's rear garage.

The reporting party said the scraps were last seen at 8 p.m. the previous night. Police found a wire on the ground and ripped denim on the fence. One of the crates with the metal was found outside of March Lumber. The total value of the stolen goods was $700. There are currently no leads.

Young Man Steals Jeans at Outlets

On March 24 at 8:19 p.m., responding Officer Pat Roche was dispatched to at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets for a retail theft. Upon arrival, 18-year-old Baahir T. Clark of Philadelphia was in custody of the loss prevention department.

Loss Prevention observed the man in the denim department selecting several pairs of jeans and then went to the fitting room and left with only one pair. He then went to the back corner of men's clearance and placed the pair of jeans in a bag. He allegedly discarded the security sensor in the trash in the men's sportswear department.

Clark then left the store without paying for the jeans and was approached by LP. He admitted to stealing the jeans, worth $169. He was arrested for retail theft, processed and housed. He was video arraigned and placed on $5,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is on April 2 at 10 a.m. He was released to his mother at the Limerick Diner.

The Royersford Police Department submitted the following report

Spring City Man Receives DUI

On March 16 at 10:25 p.m., police were assigned to a roving DUI patrol as a part of a multi-jurisdictional DUI Task Force. A Ford F350 was stopped for operating in a careless manner and speed violation at Walnut and 6th Avenue.

The operator, Raymond N. Vevasis, 31 of Spring City, reportedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and was administered a series of field sobriety tests. Upon conclusion, a certified breath test was administered, resulting in a .174 BAC. A summons was sent to district court.
