Limerick

The logged 183 incidents between Nov. 28 and Dec. 4. Nine were deemed false alarms.

Women Steal from Kohl's

On Dec. 1 at 4:53 p.m., responding Officer John Henry was dispatched to for a retail theft. Upon arrival, he spoke with the loss prevention officer, who told him he observed 19-year-old Amanda Margaret Jean Dornheim of Trappe select several items from the merchandise floor and take them to the women's dressing room. She came out without the items and employees confirmed those items were not in the dressing room afterward.

The loss prevention officer met Dornheim at the door and she cooperated with his requests. The officer found several items in her handbag and stroller, totaling $259.18. She admitted to stealing the items. Officer Henry transported her to Pottstown Police Department to be fingerprinted and photographed.

It was also discovered that Skye Marie Carfagno, 18 of Trappe, and Tina Marie Carfagno, 46 of Trappe, were with Dornheim in the dressing room. Upon further investigation, Skye was found with $50.94 of stolen merchandise. She was issued at non-traffic citation for retail theft, while Tina was issued a non-traffic citation for her involvement (disorderly conduct).

Dornheim's bail is set at $2,000 and is housed in Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Her preliminary hearing is on Dec. 9 at 1 p.m.

Retail Theft at Solstice

On Dec. 3 at 1:07 p.m., responding Officer Shawn Pancoast was dispatched to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, where it was reported that a retail theft occurred at around 12:26 p.m.

Pancoast arrived in the loading area between lots A and B and observed two black males running through the common area of the outlets, while security officers chased after them. Pancoast then observed one of them chuck a pair of sunglasses into the mulch behind some bushes. He stopped the subjects and took them back to Solstice.

At Solstice, the officer, suspects and employee watched the surveillance tape to see one of the suspects, Clarence Dorsey, 41 of Philadelphia, stealing a $330 pair of sunglasses. He then discarded the security sensor into the display.

Dorsey didn't have his identification, so he was asked to provide his name, social security number, address and date of birth. It was found that Dorsey did not provide the right name, address or social security number. He was taken to Pottstown Police Department and it was there that he provided his real information. He has one prior conviction for retail theft and is currently on probation in Philadelphia County.

His preliminary hearing is on Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. His bail is set at $5,000 and he is currently housed at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Birdsboro Resident Steals at Outlets

On Dec. 3 at 11:06 a.m., responding Officer Shawn Pancoast was dispatched to at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets.

Upon arrival, Christopher R. Broderick, 19 of Birdsboro was in custody. The employee said it was observed that Broderick concealed a pair of gloves inside of his coat.

Pancoast found two more items: an audio kit and glasses on Broderick's person. The value of the three items was found to be $62.85. Broderick was transported to Pottstown Police Department and processed. This was his first retail theft. He was cited for summary offense and released.

Royersford

Juvenile Charged in Fraud

Charges were filed this week on a 17-year-old from the Collegeville section of Upper Providence Township via juvneile court for the following offenses: Forgery (Felony second degree), Access Device Fraud (Felony third degree; three counts) and one count of recieving stolen property and theft, both misdemeanor of the first degree.

The juvneile female was reported to have been doing community service at the   on the 300 block of Main Street in Royersford. It is there where it has been alleged the juvenile took a debit card from the victim's (an employee) purse and used it in three separate locations later that evening.

Charges were made at the at 10th Avenue and Main Street for gas, The  for dinner and the 7-11 store for cigarettes, all locations in Limerick Township. The totals were in excess of $150 to $200. The female has been turned over to her parents pending a court date in Norristown Juvneile Court. The juvenile female was in possession of the debit card when police interviewed her in reference to this incident.

Spring City

Juveniles Beat Up 72-Year-Old Man

On Dec. 7 at 2 p.m., a call came in where a 72-year-old male was assaulted by three subjects in the area of 129 N. Main St.

Upon arrival the man was being attended to by a witness, who said the men took off down the alley. After a short search of the area, two individuals were picked up behind the Burger King. Two juveniles were taken into custody one being 17-years-old from Royersford and the other being 15-years-old from Spring City.

The victim, Floyd Christman, was transported to Phoenixville Hospital to be checked out. Juvenile referrals will be filed against both boys.
