Police: Mont Clare Man Arrested for DUI After Falling Asleep in the Drive-Thru

The alleged incident occurred on Jan. 19 at the Phoenixville McDonald's.

A Mont Clare man was arrested after police say he fell asleep, drunk, in a McDonald’s drive-thru.

According to court documents, on Jan. 19 at 2 a.m., Phoenixville Police received report of a man asleep in a pickup truck at the McDonald’s fast food restaurant on 651 Nutt Road in Phoenixville. Upon arrival, the officer noted that the driver, Shane Yonkoske, 27, smelled like alcohol, had glassy eyes, and seemed lethargic.

Yonkoske allegedly failed field sobriety testing, and was arrested for DUI and taken to Phoenixville Hospital to have blood drawn for testing, said court documents.

He was charged with four counts of DUI, an additional count of careless driving, and is awaiting preliminary hearing, said the report.
