Police: Teen Knocked Out Ridge Lights

Saturday's stoplight outage caused by accident

Upper Providence police have released a statement saying that a 17-year-old driver was responsible for last Saturday's extensive outage of the stoplights at Ridge Pike and Township Line Road. 

The police report states that the teenage driver hit a fire hydrant and the traffic signal control box, disabling both for several hours.

The driver was apprehended near the scene. Charges are pending.
