RELEASE: Four Stores Hit in Local Robberies

Limerick Township police released further information on the string of robberies that occurred on Wednesday morning.

Limerick Township police confirmed that four armed robberies occurred in the area early Wednesday morning. Suspects Daniel Joseph Mungin of Spring City and Kyle Raymond Weikel of Upper Providence were allegedly involved in the crimes.

Limerick police were first notified of the robberies after the crime was committed at the Royersford 7-11, 301 S. Lewis Rd, according to police.

"The store clerk reported a male wearing a hockey mask, entered through the front door holding a large knife or sword," police said. "The male came behind the counter pointing the large knife at the clerk and said, 'Give me the money.'"
