Residents Reminded to Shovel Out Fire Hydrants

'Help us help you,' says the Royersford Fire Department.

Several local emergency service organizations remind residents to clear fire hydrants when shoveling snow.

The Royersford Fire Department posted a notice to “Adopt-A-Hydrant,” asking residents to clear three feet around all fire hydrants, with clear access from the street.

“A clear path on all four sides makes hydrants easier to locate and operate in an emergency,” according to the notice.
