Rofo Man Charged for Assaulting Girlfriend

ORWIGSBURG - A Montgomery County man sits in Schuylkill County Prison after a judge ruled Tuesday that prosecutors presented enough evidence to support charges he assaulted his girlfriend in November as he was driving her home on Route 61 in North Manheim Township.

Mark E. Lewis, 44, of 253 Main St. Apt. C, Royersford, faces charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and criminal mischief.

Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier ordered all charges held for court after a preliminary hearing and returned Lewis to prison in lieu of his posting $3,500, or 10 percent of $35,000 percentage bail.
