Rofo Woman Gets 2-5 Years for Burglary

NORRISTOWN – A Royersford woman will be under court supervision for five years after admitting to taking part in a residential burglary spree that targeted homes in Limerick, and Lower and Upper Providence.

, 27, of the 500 block of Walnut Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to two to five years in a state correctional facility after she pleaded guilty to charges of burglary in connection with burglaries or attempted break-ins that occurred between April and July 2011.

Judge Garrett D. Page, who accepted a plea agreement in the matter, said Rooney is eligible for the state Department of Corrections’ Recidivism Risk Reduction Incentive program, which allows eligible non-violent offenders to receive reductions of their minimum prison sentences if they successfully complete required substance abuse treatment and maintain good-conduct records in prison...
