Royersford Man Sentenced for Stealing From Elderly Women

Jon Dugan pleaded guilty to stealing money from six clients.

A Royersford man will spend at least five months in jail after pleading guilty to multiple county of theft by deception after stealing money from elderly bank customers.

Jon Dugan, 30, was sentenced to five to 23 months in prison after he schemed nearly $9,000 from customers at the Wells Fargo bank in Pottstown, where he worked, between June and August of 2011, according to CBS.

According to The Reporter, Dugan made unauthorized withdraws from the accounts of six elderly customers between the ages of 77 and 92, beginning with $500 on June 7, 2011. When he took $1,100 out of another victim’s account on August 1, 2011, a Wells Fargo Corporate investigator confronted Dugan, according to court documents.

Dugan must also complete five years of probation, and was ordered to pay $7,671 in restitution to the bank.
