Royersford Fire Intentionally Set, Police Say

A Sunday afternoon fire was allegedly set following a domestic argument.

The Royersford Police Department arrested a borough resident on Sunday evening following a fire investigation at the Sherwood Apartments at 201 Main St., Royersford.

Police said in a press release that the fire was intentionally set following an argument between Elaine Turns, 52, and her boyfriend.

Police said in the release that when emergency crews arrived at the scene, an apartment was on fire. The investigation determined that Turns, an occupant of the apartment, allegedly lit the fire in retaliation to her boyfriend walking out.
