Royersford home heavily damaged by fire
The overnight fire broke out within sight of a fire department headquarters.
A Royersford house was heavily damaged by fire early Sunday morning.
The fire at 250 Walnut Street was reported shortly after midnight. The residential building is less than 200 feet from the headquarters of the .
Royersford Borough fire chief Gary Wezel said the fire began in the backyard of the property and then spread to the residence. All the occupants of the building escaped without injury, Wezel said.

Wezel said he did not believe the fire was suspicious and that the cause was under investigation by local and state fire marshals.
Units from five fire companies responded to the scene. It took about 75 minutes to bring the fire under control.
