A briefing of police activity in the Royersford Borough. Landlord-tenant argument turns ugly.

The logged 72 incidents between May 29 and June 5. Of them, the department issued the following incident of note:

Landlord-Tenant Argument Turns Ugly

On June 3 at approximately 12:55 p.m. Officer Mark Smythe responded to 201 Main St. for a report of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, Smythe made contact with a Mark Lewis, 44 of the 200 block of Main Street. Lewis allegedly confronted his landlord in the parking lot and was making allegations about him. The discussion then turned heated, according to the police report, where Lewis pushed his landlord.

"Another male came in to stop Lewis and he threatened that male that "...There's gonna be yellow tape around your apartment," the report said. "Lewis also used derogatory racial terms to the male attempting to break up the incident."

Lewis was arrested and charged with ethnic intimidation, terroristic threats, harassment by physical contact and disorderly conduct. Lewis was arraigned in Pottstown and was given $30,000 cash bail and remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

He is currently on bail on three other cases, one involving the Royersford Police Department, Upper Dublin Police Department and The Pennsylvania State Police.
