According to the district attorney's office, an inspection of Maurer's car revealed no "mechanical failures or defects that would have contributed to the crash."

Magisterial District Judge Walter Gadzicki set Maurer's bail at $100,000. Maurer surrendered her driver's license to authorities and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Gadzicki at 1:30pm on Monday, June 6.
