Shoplifters Caught During Routine Stop, Police Say

The Limerick Police recovered $1,500 in stolen merchandise from the Philadelphia Premium Outlets.

 

A Limerick Township Police officer recovered $1,500 in stolen goods from the Philadelphia Premium Outlets after making a routine traffic stop on June 4, according to police.

Officer Kevin McGuigan arrested Yvonne Davis and Aisha Watkins, both 27 and from Philadelphia, after he pulled their vehicle over for a traffic violation on Evergreen Road and found the goods, which were allegedly stolen from four stores, police said.

Davis, the driver, was charged with retail theft, posession of an instrument of crime, improper display plate and driving with a suspended license, according to court documents. Watkins was charged with retail theft.
