Spring City man charged with DUI

Philip Todd was stopped on Main Street in Royersford.

A Spring City man has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped on the 300 block of Main Street in Royersford shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning.

Philip Todd, 32, of Spring City, was arrested by Royersford patrolman Joseph Oberholtzer after what police called "numerous moving violations," including failure to use turn signals and failure to come to a complete stop at a traffic signal.

Police said Todd submitted to a breathalyzer test, which yielded a result of .139 percent blood alcohol content (BAC). A driver in Pennsylvania is considered intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or higher.
