Spring City Man Pleads Guilty In Robberies

Daniel Mungin, of Spring City, and an accomplice have both pleaded guilty to a series of armed robberies in which they terrorized their victims by wearing a hockey mask and brandishing a machete.

The Pottstown Mercury reports that 22-year-old Daniel Mungin of Spring City pleaded guilty on August 9 in Montgomery County Court to a series of armed robberies that he committed in June 2011.

Mungin and an accomplice, 20-year-old Kyle Weikel of Royersford, were arrested by several eyewitnesses to the crime.

Clerks in each store reported that a man wearing a hockey mask and brandishing a large knife or machete demanded money and stole lighters and cigarettes from the stores.
