Spring City Mayor Swears in New Police Officers

Kevin Black and Caleb Smith are new part time Spring City police officers.


The Spring City Mayor Michael Weiss recently swore in two new part-time police officers for the borough, Kevin Black and Caleb Smith.

Caleb Smith is a United States Marine Corps veteran who served on active duty in the War Against Terrorism in the Iraq Theater of Operations, and he works full time with the Montgomery County Sheriffs Department. 

Kevin Black served in the United States Navy and served on active duty in the War Against Terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan Theater of Operations. Black is a full time student at Chestnut Hill College pursuing his bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and is a certified Computer Forensic Technician. 

"Officers will be completing thier in service training with the Spring City Police Department assigned to Field Training Officers and then assigned to bolster the police presence in Spring City Borough during peak times," said Spring City Police Chief Anthony Kuklinski.
