Spring City Teen Caught Allegedly Growing Pot

The 15-year-old was arrested and is being held pending charges.

The Pottstown Mercury reports today that a 15-year-old Spring City boy has been arrested in connection with a marijuana-growing operation in the borough.

Police Chief Anthony Kuklinski told the Mercury that the police had noticed an increase in suspicious drug activity along Main Street, and thanks to investigation and people giving the police tips, the department was able to pinpoint the alleged seller and arrest him.  

Officers seized four marijuana plants, several ounces of already-packaged marijuana, a large amount of drug paraphernalia, cash and a sawed-off shotgun from the location.

The teen is being held in the Chester County Juvenile Detention Center. His name is not being released due to his age. 

Kuklinski also told the Mercury that the investigation is continuing and more arrests are pending. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Spring City police at 610-948-3456.
