UPDATE: Spring-Ford Student Killed in Crash

An overnight accident claimed a rising sophomore's life.

Comments on a  have identified a Spring-Ford student killed in that accident. 

A search of Facebook pages has located a memorial group for the teenager.

According to the memorial page, the teenager was a Spring-Ford High School football player.

This young man would be the second Spring-Ford football player killed this summer in accidents. Spring-Ford player passed away in July. 

The Spring-Ford School Board acknowledged both tragedies with a moment of silence during Monday night's board meeting.

Police and fire department reports, as well as a report from a reader, have indicated that a juvenile male, a rising sophomore at Spring-Ford High School, was killed last night in an auto accident. 

While the reader did report the victim's name, due to the victim being a minor we will withhold the name until it is officially released by police.
