Truck Driver Injured in Collegeville Crash

After the Monday afternoon crash, the driver fell out of his truck and hit his head.

A truck driver was injured after his vehicle was struck on Second Avenue in Collegeville Monday afternoon.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred just before 4:30 p.m.

A box truck was turning onto Second Avenue from Main Street and was struck by a Honda Civic; after the crash, the driver of the truck fell out of his vehicle and hit his head, according to the Pottstown Mercury.

The truck driver, whose name was not released, had a separated shoulder and was seizing when emergency crews arrived on the scene. Trappe Ambulance  transported the victim to Paoli Trauma Center; the driver of the Honda was not injured.

Collegeville Fire Co. was also on the scene.
