The park's softball field was named after an inductee to the Pennsylvania Softball Hall of Fame.

The softball field of Linfield’s Limerick Township Sports Park was renamed the “Thomas K. Schadt Field” after a local coach, athlete, administrator, and sponsor on the weekend of Aug. 3, according to The Phoenix Reporter & Item.

In March of this year, Schadt was added to the Pennsylvania Softball Hall of Fame.

The celebration for the softball field designation was held at the Park’s pavilion, and attended by the Limerick Township Board of Supervisors who approved the naming, over 100 of Schadt’s teammates, Pennsylvania state softball officials, and more.
