State Rep. Mark Painter has a new constituent service office that is open and ready to help Montgomery County residents navigate state government.
The office -- located at 600 Heritage Drive, Suite 102, just off High Street in Sunnybrook Village, Sanatoga, PA 19464 -- is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with extended hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. The phone number is 610-326-9563 and the fax number is 610-718-5787. Painter noted those numbers are the same as former state Rep. Tom Quigley.
"Helping people with their day-to-day concerns involving state government is an integral part of my job as a state representative in addition to crafting and debating legislation at the state Capitol," said Painter, D-Montgomery.
The freshman lawmaker received his committee assignments earlier this week and learned that he will serve on the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Finance and Local Government committees.
"As a former tax collector for Limerick Township, I believe my experience will be put to good use on the Finance and Local Government committees," Painter said. "The property tax issue is a top concern for my constituents and the Finance Committee will likely be the point position as that debate takes place.
"Given that agriculture is one of Pennsylvania's top industries, my selection to that committee will give me insight on issues that affect residents across the commonwealth. And, after all, everybody eats!"
In addition to his local office, residents can stay up to date with and contact Painter through his website at www.pahouse.com/Painter.
The 146th Legislative District includes Lower Pottsgrove, Upper Pottsgrove, West Pottsgrove, New Hanover, Pottstown, Limerick and Royersford.
