The National park Service is seeking proposals to run event businesses out of two historic buildings — the Philander Chase Knox House and the Kennedy Supplee Mansion — in the Valley Forge National Park.

Valley Forge National Historical Park is looking for businesses to submit proposals to run event venues in two historic buildings.

The Philander Chase Knox House and grounds located on Yellow Springs Road near the intersection of State Route 252  is up for lease as a private event venue for a five-year term.

According to the NPS, part of the home serves as a library, accessible only by appointment, and the rest of the home is empty. Federal funds are not available for the estate's preservation or maintenance.

The proposals are due on the property by Dec. 6. Click here for more information.

The Kennedy Supplee Mansion is located on State Route 23  is also up for lease for commercial use for a term from ten to fifty years.

For 20 years, the Kennedy Supplee Mansion served as the Kennedy-Supplee Mansion Restaurant, until it went bankrupt in 2005.

Proposals are due by Jan. 3.  Click here for more information.
