Excelsior's degree programs in nursing are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The School of Nursing has been designated a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing. Excelsior's bachelor's degrees in accounting (NYS CPA Track) and business are recognized by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). Its Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program is the first exclusively distance learning-based program to be admitted to full membership in to the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs (AGLSP).

ELMIRA, NY (03/23/2012)(readMedia)-- Elmira College has released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for the Fall 2011 Term. The Dean's List recognizes students that have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher for the Fall 2011 academic term.

Madelaine Whalen '15 of Limerick, has been named to the Dean's List of Academic Achievement for the Fall 2011 Term. Madelaine is majoring in Adolescence Education: English and English Literature.

Spring City Resident Participates in Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Regional II

Glenside, PA—March 22, 2012Arcadia University senior Nicole Samuel, an Acting Major from Spring City, Pa., participated in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Regional II at Indiana University in Indiana, Pa., in January. Samuel was among seven Arcadia students to present work in Make-Up, Hair and Costume Design at the Festival. 

In addition to her acting achievements, Samuel has taken her academics abroad, where she spent her first semester of college at the City University in London, England studying through Arcadia’s prestigious FYSAE (First Year Study Abroad Experience) Program. 

 “Our University has a long and proud tradition of excellence in the fine and performing arts, including such great teachers as Judith Elder, David Bassuk, Lawrence Curry, Bill Fabrizio, John Hathaway, and Benton Spruance,” says Arcadia University President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III. “Not only are they great in their own right, but they have inspired greatness in their students. Amanda Drahos Participated in Gettysburg College Theater Production

GETTYSBURG, PA (03/28/2012)(readMedia)-- Theatre arts programs at Gettysburg offer a variety of creative and technical experiences, including: acting, directing, playwriting, design history and literature of theatre and the relationship of theatre to other aspects of culture and society.

Amanda Drahos of Spring City, a Senior at Gettysburg College participated in the Spring 2012 production of Romeo & Juliet.

With a student body of approximately 2,600, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park. The College was founded in 1832.

Amanda Drahos Senior Recital at Gettysburg College

GETTYSBURG, PA (04/06/2012)(readMedia)--  Amanda Drahos, a Senior at Gettysburg College presented a senior recital on March 31 in Gettysburg College's Paul Recital Hall located in Schmucker Hall on the Gettysburg College campus. Drahos' program included a variety of musical theater pieces and art songs, with a special emphasis on various settings of the same text. Ranging in style from classical to modern, the recital included pieces sung in English, French, German, and Italian. Featured composers include Richard Strauss, W.A. Mozart, Henri Duparc, Jacques Offenbach, Dominick Argento, and Roger Quilter, with opera duets from works such as Le Nozze di Figaro and Les Contes d'Hoffman.

Ellen Wilson Artwork Featured in Elizabethtown College's Juried Art Show

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (03/28/2012)(readMedia)-- An exhibition of artwork from students enrolled in studio art courses will be featured in the Lyet Gallery of the Leffler Chapel and Performance Center from March 25 to April 25. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Ellen Wilson , a sophomore, of Royersford, has artwork featured in the exhibit.
